Moms as well as babies are confused about food. Till the time the baby is on breastfeed, the worry is less. Once, mothers start feeding semi-solids, all queries regarding food begin. We normally rely on our mother's or grandmother's wisdom. I have seen my co-sister feeding ragi to her son. He would make a puckered face, each time she did so. When asked 'why?' She replied ' my mom in law said so.' Babies like simple food. Natural fruits mashed with a little hint of honey does the wonder. In case of cereals, it's good to boil them well and mash them up with mild salt and pepper. Your baby would love it. Taste of everything healthy must be given to your child. True. But its recommended to avoid salt and sugar( jaggery, palm sugar, honey and other sweeteners ) till 1 year.
