     It's been a little absence here from my side as we had our recent trip as a part of fifth anniversary outing, weekend getaway, and a way exploring nature for my kid, all at one go. It was great to get some time away from citylights, business calls, targets, hurry burries, dust filled air, cooking and cleaning and we highly needed a Clean break from them all...!!!

        We always addicted to Hill rides and had a fantastic long drive along 14 hairpin bends. Now we chose Yelagiri Hills, which is lesser known hill resort of Tamilnadu having group of small hamlets, surrounded by Rose gardens, Valleys, and plantations too.

        Yelagiri is well connected with two different cities by road, 156 kms from Bangalore, 218 kms from Chennai, is about 3460 ft above from Sea level, and located in Vellore dist amidst the towns of Jolarpet and Vaniyambadi in the State of Tamilnadu.

        The place is free from all kinds of pollution where you can clearly hear birds chirping and feel cool breeze. Climate here is moderate throughout the year so that you can visit here anytime.

       

Tourist Attractions here are,

        Poonganoor Lake Park, which is suitable for leisure walk both mornings and evenings, boat rides, kids play area.

        Nature park, which has various plant species that are mainly selected from Rocky terrain region, children's Park, Fish aquarium, musical fountains, seasonal garden, bamboo house and much more.

        Swamimalai Hills is situated at altitude of 4652 ft above from Sea level and is a best place for trekkers and Nature lovers.

        As my baby is too small so that we adjusted our schedule with her nap timings, and we skipped Nilavoor Village and Kavaloor observatory and definitely would cover up next visit, I guess.

        However, this place is not much developed as any other well known tourist spot in Tamilnadu, though it has enough scope which is really I felt bad about this place. But still Local govt bodies are trying to put some efforts to promote adventure sports like, trekking, rock climbing, part glyding at nearby hamlets.

        If you are a nature lover, looking for a fine climate, needed of pleasant environment, being a frustrated chennaite, and more than that having tantrums filled tots, then this place would be a Perfect holiday spot for you....!
