Morning brainstorming over lunch box - MISSI POORI.

K : Mumma what are you giving me today for snacks and lunch ?
Me : I have these fruits (told him options) tell me which ones you want for snacks and I am still thinking for the lunch.

K : Ok, give me XYZ fruits (of his preference). What options are there for lunch ?
Me : (thinking in mind I am already confused and he's asking me options) I can make masala parantha or vermicelli or upma or ragi dosa.

K : I don't want any of these. I want to take poori to school.
Me : Poori. Now ??? ( Thinking what's point of giving options).. Okie I will see, you go finish your milk and get ready for school.

Now kiddo gets busy with his other stuff and mumma thinks what to do. I had a bowl full of left over channa Dal from night so made dough with that for missi; pooris. It's easy and simple and quick recipe::

1 cup left over Dal (any Dal will do)
2-3 cup wheat flour
Handful of chopped coriander and methi leaves

Salt, ajwain, garam masala, red chilli powder (as per taste)

Make poori dough mixing all the above. Because of dal poori will be soft and can be eaten with pickle and chutney.
