Motherhood is not easy and mothers certainly go through a lot. Society has created an unrealistic image of the mother as a selfless, tireless, superhuman.

An 'ideal mother' must be a perfect home-maker, must always put child's & family's needs before her own, must opt for breastfeeding & normal delivery, be always fully functional and happy, be a super mom despite exhaustion and so on. People don’t realize how these crazy & unrealistic expectations puts undue pressure on them and can lead to an immense amount of mom guilt.

Moms, don't let negative comments get you down. Do not get trapped under the societal pressure to do what everyone says! Love yourself because you are much more than a mother. You are a human first! 🌸
