A twin pregnancy is much more obvious than a single pregnancy. Well in my case it was not exactly so I used to feel extremely tired, exhausted with two growing babies and & my body had to adjust to increased energy requirements. While my twins were developing normally I had Placenta Previa (when a baby’s placenta partially or totally covers the mother's cervix).
I use to have severe bleeding 🩸 and more when one of my twin use to kick. Thankful to my gynecologist Dr. Kurush Pagdiwalla & Dr. Firoze Sonawalla who took utmost care & precautions throughout my pregnancy. I was stitched up to avoid early delivery, further bleeding.
After delivering my premature twins, my daughter was extremely tiny and was in NICU for a month & my son was perfectly fine.
Year 1
Had 2 nurses as I didn’t have any knowledge & was extremely nervous. The stress of breastfeeding was insane. I use to feed my twins in a football position ( both together on cushions )
Weaning started at 6 months
Year 2
Was tough as I let go of my nurses and kept jhappa maid who had to be trained. I didn’t get any time to take massages etc.
Year 3
We started traveling.. things were a bit smooth now and I could now step outdoors
Year 4
They were naughty and pulling each other’s hair, hitting, etc. Yet little though but school going
Year 5
When they started mingling with friends and expressing their likes & dislikes
Year 6
Their wants and demands swing in and non stop talking 🙊
Year 7
Food preferences, fun games & night time stories yet continued
Year 8
Hmm bit grown up.. when they start taking their responsibility but yet not ready
Year 9
The caretaker left for the village and they automatically start doing things by themselves.
Year 10
That’s now !! Let go of my caretaker! They are big, independent, able to take care of themselves, understanding, emotional, caring, affectionate and yes matured.
That’s how my journey continues! Blessed to have my twins.👯♀️
