yeah play gym is an excellent idea !

Gently remove hands whenever you find her hands inside mouth. It's natural and nothing to worry. Baby is knowing things as Aditi said. Give some rattles to play. soft edged rubber or plastic toys. Best invest will be "play gym" to play and also help in baby's development.
