Same was the case with my daughter and it would get worse with the onset of cold. I visited a pediatric ophthalmologist and he said its due to blockage of the tear duct. It happens in some babies and its very normal. He had advised gentle massage around the nose bridge to help drain the tears into the system which otherwise is an automatic process. No surgery was required as according to him, it opens up by the time the baby is 2 yrs of age. So dnt worry. And if u feel, u can get a chk up done. I would strongly recommend Dr Mihir Kothari. He has clinics in Thane and Wadala. He is listed in Babychakra services

hi Nick it might be because his tear gland must not be opened. but nothing to worry. check with ENT.
