Kids attention span is less as campare to others. Try more fun learning activities so that he will stick and indulge. I will suggest wonder learn activity box for him. It has different activities which focus on overall learning development

perhaps he is not getting the right environment for learning. conventional schools might give pressure to the child to developmentally inappropriate learnings and stuff. and anyways 4 year old is not expected to sit at one place. if I were you, I would let me child be himself. kindergarten is for play!
