My baby after getting pneumococcal vaccine, I found out his three lymph nodes swelled opposite ear on his cheek. Is it a coincidence that yesterday he got second dose of pneumococcal vaccine, brand name synflorix and his swelling is more than before today. Am I thinking wrong? Or it's the vaccine which caused this swelling, I treated him with antibiotics recommended by doctr. But swelling has not reduced, then the time come for second dose of pneumococcal vaccine and he had that and today this suspicioun came in my mind. We have already visited two child doctors. One said go for blood test because antibiotics can't able to reduce the swell part another said it will disolve by itself.

The swelling is only near ear on cheek tight side. Dr has recommended crp test and Mri scan of neck. Thanks. Is Mri scan of such a little baby safe. He is just three and half months old
Baby was suffering from cough and cold initially before giving the PCV shot?
The lymph node swelling is found behind the ear and near the throat?
if there was a little bit cough and cold then you need to seek for medicines rest it will be fine but if if the swelling is happened overnight and it is more than and 1 centimetre and is very much patent and visible and increasing then please go for a blood test also do a CRP test as well to identify infection and body the PCV vaccine would have been given on thighs so there is no side effect because of this vaccination the lymphnode will swell because of infection in mouth oral cavity due to cold fever
