question
My baby Anerwa Hang is about 6 months old ,infact 6 days short of exact six month...According to our custom we just completed weaning ceremony;; hoping to feed something solid or semi solid ending complete formula feeding schedule...we are still giving naan-pro 1 & just started with cerelac yesterday...
Bottomlilne is that I'm worried about baby's nutrition..

Some say here in hill it's good to feed Channa; (raagi floor, maize floor etc)..

Can someone guide me wrt home made baby's food for 6 month..

Hi
You can start with clear vegetable soup, dhal water, water used to cook dhal, do not add salt or sugar until one year not good for babies, do not introduce dairy products until one year. Slowly start offering vegetables puree, fruit purees. Cooked and mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, mashed banana, apples baked or cooked is good enough. You can also start giving kichidi, rice cooked and mashed with dhal after seven months. Introduce one food at a time, for three days, if baby shows allergy to a food avoid it. Introduce but don't reinforce, slowly and gradually weaning should take place, offer water few sips if baby is weaned

Hey I would suggest to advice maize floor until months. You can start with porridge - wheat, millet, rice khichadi, oats, veggie upma, suji upma or oats upma. Also fruit mash and boil veggie mash or purée is a very good alternate

In the beginning please keep it light to test the baby's system reaction..follow a three day rule..avoid introducing too many items to her at once..chana can be a bit hard to digest initially but as her body grows accustomed to the solids you can introduce it in her diet..also please read these super useful links.. Weaning In the Initial Months Weaning Food Recipe (7 to 9 months) A Beginner’s Guide to Weaning foods The Ultimate Weaning Guide for infants by Dr R K Anand: Part 1
