We would recommend making a schedule of baby's sleep and awake times. At times when you write down all details and consider all naps you realise baby is actually sleeping more than you imagine. Breast milk is the best for baby till six months of age and if on exclusive breast feed baby is passing a minimum of seven urines per day and the stools are yellow then breast milk is sufficient. Baby probably needs just comforting and hence asks for the breast. Using formula will slowly lead to a reduction in breast milk supply. Having said that a combination of breast milk and formula is not going to cause physical harm.
