question
My baby feeds to sleep. She needs the side lying position only to nurse herself to sleep. But with this, I can't burp her or she wakes up and starts feeding again. is this healthy? because she often has reflux, regurgitation and cough later after this feed at night.

It is a good idea to not feed till baby falls asleep. It's a habit which can be difficult to break later. Feed the baby then burp and place baby down to sleep and you can lightly Pat and hum to soothe the baby to sleep.

Hi. Its a common mistake to feed baby to sleep. One should try to feed first then burp and thereafter put to sleep by gently patting or stroking. Its not easy as baby will also want comfort feed. Have patience. All the best.
