my baby is 10 days old. he does not feel hungry much . taking only 5 to 6 feed in a day. but has gained 4000 gms in 10 days. is it OK if he is taking less feed. baby is sleeping all the time.
His weight gain seems fine at 40 grams per day. Keep a check of his urine it should be minimum seven per twenty four hours. If both these numbers are normal then it's fine to let baby regulate his feeding schedule.

Hi, it's perfectly normal. Some babies sleep almost 18-20 hours a day. The baby's weight should double the birth weight for the age of 6 months old. feed on demand. also if your baby is passing urine minimum 7-8 times a day the baby is getting enough feed.
