My baby is 13 months old. At the time of birth he weighed 2.3 kgs. Later on upto 9 months his weight increased gradually on an average of 700-800 gms per month. His current weight is 8.1 kg. But after 9th month his weight has stopped increasing. Doctor has analysed iron and calcium deficiency and prescribed iron and calcium syrup for 3 months. Please suggest what should be the ideal BMI. Also please suggest what should I do to restart his weight and height growth.

Hi after 6 months the weight gain will be slow and it's very normal. Please continue to breastfeed the baby, as long as the baby is active and achieving milestones then nothing to worry.
