Crying is a normal part of this age as this is the only way they have of expressing them selves. Feeding is the easiest form of comfort as suckling is a natural soothing action for a baby. Firstly ensure that the baby is feeding enough which means minimum seven urines per day and yellow colored stools. Then try calming techniques like swaddling, swaying, white sounds, distracting and also enlisting other family members to help as it can be overwhelming for one person.

Yes, Colic is a common problem in babies. But doctors do not recommend giving colic medicine too much. So try soothing your baby by other means of distraction too.. E. G take a walk in the room.. Sing a song.. Apply asafoetida (hing) mixed with water around the naval area...

yes. babies cry a lot mostly for the discomfort in the stomach. colicaid is a basic medicine which helps there bowel to cool if it is irritating them and comfort them.
In my case my daughter's infancy was very smooth with none of these issues but my son used to cry a lot to an extent that my neighbor's from all sides used to come running hearing his cry and that's when Dr prescribed colicaid and till date I give him.
