My baby is 5.5 months old. He is been passing stools after every feed. The stools are kind of watery. He is also teething I guess as he wants to bite everything. There is no fever.; Also because of continuous pooping his anal area has become red.
Should I consult a pediatrician or take this as a teething phase which will pass.
Please help !!!?

Hi mommy
Please visit the pediatrician. Loose motion could be because of stomach infections.
Clean the diaper area properly, give air time, don't rub too much.

Loosemotion or frequent poop brings out undigested food with enzymes out from anus. It is advisable to wash the poop with luke warm water and area near anus to wash off the enzymes. Use mild baby soap after every 3rd to 4th poop to clean the area.
These enzymes irritate the skin near anus and make it reddish
You should see a doc for frequent poops

hi anon - do show baby to ur dr coz u will need to treat the anal area carefully. try and keep baby's hands clean - just wipe them when you can. i used to wash baby's toys and teethers at this stage. tc
