question
My baby is about to be 10 month old in a week. He has been crawling on his tummy since he was 6.5 month old. He still crawls on his tummy and not on fours, although his speed is really good and he crawls throughout the house one room to other. He has started standing with support and loves standing. Just got to know from someone that not crawling on fours may lead to improper motor development and cognitive development. Wanted to know what should I do in this regard.

Hi nothing like that, few babies skip crawling milestone and directly walk.

Anon relax, that's not true. Crawling on 4 is not at all an important milestone. So many children just skip this milestone and starts walking. <br> And I am not saying this like that...The physiotherapist to whom I take my child for therapy clearly told me that it's fine if the child doesn't crawl on 4. So, don't worry at all.
