Can you post a picture here of that red mark,sometimes there are overdeveloped tissues which leaves this kind of mark on newborns which is not of much concern and goes away on its own so dont treat it with rash cream, rest we can suggest after seeing the actual pic, or check with paed if you think its something serious out there.
