After feeding hold the baby upright even if baby is asleep. Don't worry if there is no burp sound. That is not important. A little bit of spit up is fairly normal. If you baby has reflux which means throws up a lot then speak to the doctor. You can make baby sleep slightly tilted to ensure that the spit up is not swallowed

ya, i too faced this problem... but i found if this cycle continues, a few feeds later baby will not wake up.. no burping will also lead to terrible gas which means no sleep at all!!! hang in there, by 3 months, things will be much easier!

ahhh.. yes.. that's a bad vicious cycle. but it is very important to burp the baby. not burping may lead to choking or SIDS. what u can do is, after the baby unlatches let him sleep in that position for 5 min and then slowly try burping him.<br> if he wakes up again give a small feed. a small feed doesn't need burping.
