There is a difference between spit up and vomit. Spit up means a little milk comes out and this can be easily managed by burping the baby a little longer, keeping baby in a slightly upright and side tilted position when you put him down. His giving hunger cues may actually be just a soothing cue where he wants to suckle. Just distract him and see if that works. Talk, sing, take him to a different room or even have some one else handle him. Vomit is a different situation where baby removes more quantity and with force. That would be more alarming. The doctor has also prescribed as per spit up and not vomit. Don't worry baby will outgrow this phase. Do not feed him so often. Try distraction instead.

Ohh I remember this happening with Mannat...;; I posted a query in baby chakra as well. Will share the link.;;; Later on I realised the force of milk was too much for baby to handle.. so I started expressing and feeding her..;; secondly every time if the baby suckle or puts his finger in the mouth doesn't signify hunger....;; at times just for comfort they do it...;;;; so don't feed every time.. give a break to yourself and baby ...; try to distract with rattles; , singing lights etc... All the <u>best</u>
