It is best for baby to sleep on the back till at least six months of age from safety reasons. It reduces the risk of suffocation. Please turn the baby onto the back. You can use firm pillows to prevent the baby from turning over in the night. You can also use a light swaddle.

long time ? no.. obviously baby will also feel uncomfortable to sleep on tummy for long time. if he sleeps on tummy after feed, he'll spit out. if he's sleeping on nested cradle he can't sleep on tummy, may sleep on one side. if co-sleeping then put a pillow on another side so that he can't rollover when sleeping
