My feet keep swelling every now n then wenever i m on my toes..my tail bone also hurts a lot...i have put on 3 kgs in a month..so my gynac had put me on bed rest coz of the weight and my swelling had disappeared. My bp is normal. Today i resumed work and again my feet have swollen. So does tht mean tht i shud do less activities.
Walking is imp but in my case it swells my feet...wat should be done?
If you started your pregnancy at a lower than normal weight then it is possible that you may gain a little extra somewhere along the way. If BP is normal then swelling is purely fluid retention which is happening due to being in one position for a long time. It is best to take frequent breaks at work walk around and also while sitting elevate your feet on a proper foot rest.

in my case, its opposite. when i dont do walking, my legs swell. if i keep myself active and walk for 1 hour it helps in reducing swelling. in the morning when i wake up i have swollen feet and aching legs daily. without a little massage i cant get up from bed

hi preeti, awesome dp! must be from the babymoon ? ☺
as pregnancy progresses, the swellings also get worse because there is extra weight and also fluid retention. do not sit or stand too long. wear comfortable footwear. keep legs elavated whenever possible. soak feet in warm water with rock salt. tailbone must be hurting due to sitting too long? or when sitting are you elevating legs such that tailbone gets pressured? if walking is allowed, do walk.

I was advised to keep my feet elevated whenever they were swollen and also to cut down on both sugar and salt
