OOOhhh..that evening something destructive happened to me.After feeding my 3month old, I suddenly noticed that my breast is hard, swollen, throbbing, lumpy and painful. I was shivering badly and was captured by fever in no time. I called my lactation expert and she said it's normal, try to express milk and use the warm soft towel. Nothing was normal, my pain was increasing, the temperature was rising and my boy was hungry. I was asked to feed him, I was trying my best to feed him but it was next to impossible for me. While feeding I notice the pus and blood coming out of my nipple. We rushed to doctor, she immediately asked me to undergo a breast surgery. UUUFF...I cried continuously for 3 hrs, but there was no escape. Surgery went smooth, but the horrible part was dressing. I used to go for dressing every day. The dressing is done without any painkillers or injection. Yes, you have to bear it, that acid for cleaning, medicine & drapes were inserted daily. Complete healing took around 3 months, such disheartening experience it was. I think this surgery taught me the lesson of my life – ENJOY EVERY MOMENT, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT FUTURE HOLDS.
I went into the negative frame of mind, I was depressed by the surgery & was struggling with my body as no cloths were fitting in. From here I started meditating and yoga.
