do not put any cloth to prevent sucking. its imp a child does that.

You don't have to stop this habit. thumb sucking is a natural reflex for the child. A way to soothe itself. most kids grow out of this habit by themselves. it's a way of exploring her body.  you can let her be. you don't have to stop her. :)

my baby is also 4 month old he is also sucking his fingers ..the days come they will automatically ..get rid from this habit..dont worry..dear..during sucking distract her from by showing toys music etc...
