My little one is 24 days old. She is formula fed since Day 1.. I'm unable to breast feed her due to unavoidable situations.. but I express milk and feed her too though in little quantities.. My question is, some times her poop is greenish in colour with peanut butter like consistency.. Should I be worried?? What may be the causes??

Hi Shilpa green poop is common in babies there is nothing to worry about, the bacteria in the intestines react to the iron sulfate in a supplement or iron-fortified formula. The reaction turns the baby poop dark green or sometimes even greenish-black. ... There is no need to be concerned with the colour change, as it has no significance to your baby's digestive system. However make sure while you feed your expressed milk you express complet milk from your breast if not the foremilk which comes initially can also cause the baby poop green. If you are already doing this and your baby poops green nothing to worry about you are doing a great job.
