my MIL has forcefully introduced cow's milk to my 7.5 month old baby as initially two feedings a day. What adverse effects it could have on him? Is it right for him to give him cow's milk from now?

Darshita, I understand. We have been fed cow milk as babies and turned out fine, due to this the generation above us won't agree that cow milk will harm the baby. U can try telling that breastfeeding is best for the baby, so why not breastfeed and supplement with solids till the baby grows a bit. Alternatively, let them know about harm in introducing bottles to feed the baby. As we know, bottle feeding might trigger colic, and other disadvantages it might have. Try to tackle the problem in a diplomatic way if they won't listen directly. All the best

I resisted but as my child looks fine after total 3 feeds in 2 days, nobody is ready to accept the fact that it's harmful.

Darshita fight ,yell or do anything but no cow milk. The milk protein can't be digested by human babies. It may cause adverse effects in his digestive system, and cow milk can be allergic which may result in loose motion and it can also constipating few babies.

Hi, cow milk shouldn't be introduced before 1 year of age as baby's stomach isn't ready yet to digest animal milk. It should be introduced after 1 year. A little bit of milk in cooking porridge or oats is fine, but shouldn't be given for feeding. Baby can develop digestive issues, and could vomit often.
