Recipe #5: Arabic Hummus with homemade Wheat Nachos
Here in the UAE, Hummus & Khubuz are the most common Arabic dishes. Be it children or adults, everybody likes this combo a lot. So today I am going to share it's recipe.
HUMMUS
Ingredients:
1 cup soaked & boiled chickpeas
2-3 garlic cloves
1 tspn cumin seeds
1 tbsp yoghurt
1/2 lemon 🍋
1-2 tspn Olive oil
Salt 🧂 and pepper as per taste
Method:
• Mix all the ingredients in a mixer jar & grind to make thick paste.
• Put the paste in the serving bowl & pour some olive oil for garnishing.
Your Hummus is ready to be digged with a variety of things like Khubuz (Arabic bread), nachos, carrots, etc.
I prefer carrots 🥕 and nachos, so here is the recipe how I made healthy nachos at home-
HOMEMADE WHEAT NACHOS
Ingredients:
1 cup Wheat flour
Water
Salt 🧂 to taste
Method:
• Mix wheat flour and salt 🧂 as per your taste and knead it into dough.
• Roll it using a rolling pin and cut it into triangles.
• Now roast these pieces on hot tawa on a simmer flame to make them crispy.
