this is quite normal. since she is expecting, so she might be worried of smooth progress of the pregnancy. she can't sleep cause of frequent urination. so its better that she should avoid taking fluids three hours before going to bed. tell her to take fluids like water, juice fruits etc. before dinner as hydration is must during pregnancy. also tell her to think positive things as it will help both mother and baby. she can start listening to music also. one more thing she should take enough rest in the first three months.

In early pregnancy generally the concern is that is everything ok, or maybe the pregnancy has come by surprise so the fear of the changes can keep women awake. The first trimester also brings with it frequent urination and this can also keep women awake. Due to hormonal changes many women find their nasal passages blocked and hence find it difficult to breathe. A warm bath at bedtime with a small cup of warm milk and a tspn of honey in it will help her to sleep better. Reduce water intake two hours before bedtime. Offer a gentle back rub to help relax her. Talk to her about her fears and apprehensions and reassure her that you are there to support her thru this phase and beyond.
