My Wish To Raise Siddy, Non Judgemental
When we label someone judgemental, we miss the basic funda of what we have been doing wrong. When someone snorts at you for wearing a short dress despite having some cellulite or someone mocks you for having an Innova when you can afford better, we immediately say, "Kitna judgemental hai!" But yaar, do we realize we teavh our kids to be judgemental from the earliest point possible.
"Beta, tum ye school me padhoge, wo nhn!"
"Beta, tumko aur acha gift dila denge, abhi zidd mat kro!"
Et cetera. Et Cetera.
We as moms always introduce the concepts of upscale and downscale without realizing that this helps build up characters who are judgemental.
Stop comparing. Stop seeing someone else ka kid's stuff and buying similar for yours. Stop make kids feel that clothes have brands. Stop making kids feel their pencil boxes are better than others'.
Stop so much damage. Stop making your kids judgemental.
