my wonder woman can be only one and the only one - my mother in law. she is this beautiful confluence of super strength from soul and amazing knowledge. a master chef and an incredible force to reckon with. I have never said this to her but i will ever be thankful to her for my Husband. She must have had many dreams and plans for her son's wedding and would have dreamt of a punjabi daughter in law, but she put them all to rest when she met me. A daughter in law who was not punjabi and not a sikh --- without a shadow of doubt i was welcome into this huge family with open arms and till date i have never felt an out sider. i was accpted into the family with complete love without any judgements and asks.
My respect only grows many folds when i see her tackling every situation with such poise and patience. She inspires me each day to be a stronger woman, and someday i wish to be like her.
i can call her anytime and can ask her the most weird of questions on child care, and she would have the answer. every home remedy for sickness known and every nuska for every problem in the world. she is a walking encylopedia and i am just amazed that she never ever forgets anything.
I hope To grow old as gracefully as she is, to have the energy that she has at this age, to be able to cook for anyone in a jiffy and to have unconditional love for all, to be most classy grand mother around.
my mother in law had a slip disc in september 2016, and i dont know many women who would recover sooner than the time given by doctor.

she used to say like - muje uthna hai, aur nai let sakti. ( i have to get up, cant lie down anymore) she was up and on her feet only because she wanted to.. and she just ystrday took her first bus ride to the Golden Temple. only a super woman could do that. fight through the pain and be an example to all of us in the family.
