Today is Janmastami and out little Radhas and little Krishnas are ready to celebrate yet again !! Ofcourse the celebrations are not complete without the story telling sessions ..
Lord Krishna is described as the creator of our Universe. He came into this world to show his Leela and to fight against injustice .He was born to his parents Devaki and Vasudev in prison and was carried away to his foster parents Nanda and Yasoda to avoid being killed by Kansa .
This day we celebrate as Janmastami every year . Krishna is considered as one of the most powerful human incarnations of Lord Vishnu. He was born around 5200 years ago in Mathura .
Why is Krishna Blue ? Yes many of our kids often ask why is Krishna Blue .. Anything that is vast and seamless is blue in colur . The sky .. The Ocean just like that Krishna is Vast so Blue in colur!!


What are the special qualities that I admire in Krishna :
Krishna has many good qualities but the best thing I like about him is that he is a loyal Friend .
Krishna is also know as Sakha ... Do you know the meaning of Sakha ?? A friend .. A precious friend who never saw difference in class . Sudama a poor man who was Krishna's childhood friend shows how true friendship has nothing to do with social status but it's a bond of the heart ! He accepted with love a simple gift of beaten rice from his friend Sudama! He is an ideal Friend . He answered so many questions asked by Arjuna in the battle field in Mahabharata so logically and convincingly which shows his Patience and Leadership qualities . Patience is an attribute of the Learned . An ideal teacher is first an ideal Student and Krishna always walked his talks.

He is always shown with Nature and animals like Cows. He loved Nature, plants and animals . He was always happy and Jolly !!
So let's Celebrate Janmastami with love and Happiness all around !
