#navimumbaimoms#mommytakeover #shadiwadi #section :3 Yes it was a little tough working all alone in Delhi , of course I had a few relatives and friends to guide me whenever required but staying away from a protected environment was tough !! I learned how to cook as I stayed alone .. Though always I loved to cook ( bachpan se ) but never shared the kitchen with mom as in dint spend time with her in kitchen so many things I just asked from her over phone and started cooking . Life went on and I was doing good in my job and so everyone asking what next .. ?! How about Shadi..?? Though I had many people who really wanted to marry me ( the fan following you know :-) ) I was never attracted towards or convinced for anyone .. Somehow could not trust anyone or may be thought I was not ready for it . My brother had enrolled in the matrimony site for me ( again my chota bhai is ready for his duties )... Many proposal used to come , my parents spoke I used to meet and then nothing clicked me .. I remember my brother saying what do you actually want ?? I said I don't find that Click .... He said its not Dil to pagal hai ki koi uper se ghanti bajegi... N u know he is the one etc etc .. Ha ha .. My cutest Bro !! I normally don't or never liked any Chipkoo guy like anyone who would pursue repeatedly .. Kya hua kya hua ?? Have you decided and all .. Ufff!!! During the Christmas vacation, me and my brother both were home and we all spoke .. He literally scolded me for not replying to one proposal .. He said such a nice profile , smart looking fellow and a scientist with Atomic energy and you dint even bother to reply ..He then asked Papa to speak and he too spoke , then meeting was arranged in Bangalore since the guy was posted there and my Brother was pursuing his Phd in IISc.
I had to fly down from Delhi and the first word this guy uttered was "So Sorry you had to come down to meet "( I thought daily asehi sorry bolta rahega but aisa Nahi hai haan lol ) That was the first time I met Dev but with lots of questions and doubts in my mind .. What kind of person , will he be genuine etc .. All kinds of typical arranged marriage Wala doubts .. Then after a few talks I remember telling him that we are not compatible with each other and that we should not marry ( like I did with many others ) :-) But this guy went on to explain that compatibility is not liking same things or having the same thoughts and skills .. We should Compliment each other and thats more important he said :-) Finally Haan Naa Haan Naa karke finally I agreed for the Shadi.. A monsoon Wedding on the second day of July ! One day I will never forget is , the 5 th day of our marriage Dev had arranged a Puja at one of their kul Devi Maa Tarini temple and he had touched 108 coconuts on my forehead and broken it ..I Was surprised to see that I was so important for someone ..I recalled what papa told ..Marry someone Who wants to marry You not whom You want to marry ....☺️☺️ It's been a,dozen years of our marriage now...12 years just flew by ....
