West has its own beauty .Amchi Mumbai , Gujrat and lots more ! This place i am talking about here is in Lonar , Buldhana district; a few hours drive from Aurangabad (it's a beautiful city too )
When planned a visit to Aurangabad, my group scientist husband made sure we visit the Lonar crater lake ...It's the only crater lake in India .A natural lake created by a meteorite crash .Such was the impact that this big lake was created .It is the only hyper velocity impact crater in basaltic rock anywhere on this earth !!!
The surface area is 1.13 km square and average depth is 137 meters . (Wikipedia)
The view is just breathtaking!! The place has got religious importance too !! Not many know about it , so do plan a visit , it's worth going to Lonar !!
