Happy World Water Day !
This picture was taken by me during our Rajasthan trip. It's the Chittorgarh Fort !

It is amazing to see how our ancestors managed the natural resources especially water Conservation in those days .

The Fort has around 84 water bodies out of which only a few exists these days . These include the talabs( ponds ) ,kunds (well ), and step wells . The kunds and step wells are located below the talabs so that the seepage from the talabs are not lost ..
Share with us any such picture of water bodies or you with the water body in the background...

This at Sriranganpatnam.... picture of river Kauvery....it's so rightly said that we never understand the importance and value of what v have in hand specially when we have in excess....our ancestors knew that and were clever and careful. Now when there is crisis we running after conservation...it's a sorry state....water was India's wealth...now v r suffering draught and famine....
