New Mom's Hub Article 01: Motherhood, a source of happiness or stress??
Remember mommies, how special was the moment for both you and your partner, when your pregnancy tests showed positive results. There was a wave of happiness, excitement and joy wasn't it?? We keep the little one in our womb for 9 months and develop a precious bond with the baby even much before its born.
We talk with our babies, we feel their kicks, we see their small little hands & legs formation in Sonographies. Every moment is precious. Its so difficult to believe that we are source of a fragile life ,that’s growing within us with each passing moment. The days of wait are then finally over, the D-day arrives and we see the face of our angel. Tears roll down our cheeks seeing the innocence of our child, we lovingly hold and breastfeed our babies.These are some of the most treasured moments. Moments which a mother won’t ever forget in her lifetime.
But slowly and steadily the moments pass by and we feel stressed and tired and frustrated. And trust me, it's all natural as our body undergoes several chemical fluctuations during this time. We are not able to understand
- How to stop our baby from crying??
- How can i ensure that my baby enjoys a sound sleep so that even I can get some rest?



- When was the last time I got a chance to hang-out with my girls gang?
- When I enjoyed sometime by myself?
- When was the last time I enjoyed a hot cup of coffee all alone??
It’s very difficult to come out of the thoughts of diapers, potty, baby’s bath, baby lotion, baby clothes, lolz and what not. It's very easy to loose our sanity in such situations.
So Mommies, at times when we feel situations are somewhere over-powering our thoughts, making it difficult for us to see the clear picture, let's do the following:
1. When baby sleeps, find a quite and peaceful corner of your place
2. Sit with yourself and relax
3. Unwind and listen to some calm, soothing music
4. Speak your thoughts to yourself, in your mind or verbally, whatever works for you.
5. Acknowledge and accept the changes that took place in your body, soul and life. And embrace them.
This worked for me hope it all works for you too.
We women are the work of Art. (Not to offend anyone here, men are too amazing beings). We are the torch bearer of this civilization, we are the accelerators of the human race. We raise philosophers, teachers, artists, doctors, engineers and make this world a better place. Don’t we all agree on this?? So Mommies pat your back and be proud of yourself for bringing a whole new life to this planet and being the nurturer, this is the greatest gesture of humankind, believe me.
But during this phase of Motherhood, please do not forget to take care of yourselves too. You must be wondering, but How??
