I was almost winding up to bed but decided to check BabyChakra, I was shocked to see @abhilasha paul 's post about Kolkatta' s famous City South Mall's inhuman behaviour with her. She was asked to feed her baby at the toilet because there is no breastfeeding room. When she gave feed back on their page, she was shun down sarcastically, I was furious and fuming, We have a Breastfeeding support group for Indian mothers, over 87000 mothers are part of the group. I posted my concern by 10.30 and posted on my FB wall as well, by 12 the mothers started sharing, tweeting and spamming the South City mall's review page. Though I'm extremely happy about the power of Social Media, I'm disappointed that Abhilasha has to go through something like this.

Why is breastfeeding at public place is considered taboo? Why is breast a sex object? Breastfeeding is mother's right, We will breastfeeding whenever it's required and wherever we want to. And never let anyone tell you not to feed here, Feed at malls, temples, churches, mosques, shops, markets, bustand, bus, train, flight, airport everywhere.. Do not feed in public toilets, its not where a baby should eat, Think about the infection.Our breast... Our Baby.
This issue is escalated in high level and we will not stop till they make a feeding room.
