Nothing in life can be planned as you keep getting surprises all the time. My delivery was also a surprise for me, Indeed a little painful but still the ending was sweet.
I planned for normal delivery from the day the first day of pregnancy. Being super active throughout the pregnancy, ate right, did all kinds of yoga poses with the big belly.;

I went for my last appointment and the doctor said you are not dilated yet, I was like fine. I still have a few days, will do the walking and all other Ghar ke nuske which can bring the labor pain and help me for vaginal delivery. I was fully prepared, had different types of concoction (even thinking now, make me pukish), but nope I wasn't having any contraction. Now, my due date was two days away and I was hoping that some miracle should happen. I was tired of trying all these things but still was on my feet as I felt that being active will help.;

I went for a movie one day before my due date, and pain started but very slightly. I was happy that this is starting, now I can have vaginal delivery which is suppose to be best for a woman as others always explained to me. That day, I went to the doctor she said you get admitted the next day as we will induce which helps to make this contraction things faster. I was all excited, went already and got admitted.

My nightmare starts here, or say a bitter surprise. The doctor first induces the pain, I started getting contraction but not very frequent and strong. The next day, they again induced the pain about at 4 A.M in the morning, but still, the contraction wasn't so frequent. Doctor asked me to keep walking, I did squats too yes with that huge belly (I know sounding stupid), but I trusted my mother and did what she said. Now, one more day passed and so as my due date, bub was enjoying inside, his heartbeat was stable and I was 1cm dilated.;;

The next day, early morning around 4 P.M again they induced me, nowhere the fun begins. The contraction was so strong, painful and very frequent. This is what I was praying to happen the whole time and finally, I was getting contraction. My doctor then checked I was only 2 cm dilated, then she broke my water bag. Now, this was getting pretty serious, I was so much in pain I cannot describe in words. The doctor came after five hours and checked I was only 3 cm dilated, she said we will wait till noon if nothing happens then we will go for C-section.; I was just praying and hoping, I deliver my baby naturally again I started walking, squatting with my belly. Again my doctor checked, the vaginal checking is so painful but still, I was only 3 cm. She asked me If I am ready to wait for a few more hours as my baby is big and I have a long cervix, without a thought I said yes.

Now, I was exhausted, tired and in pain. I was literally crying as I was not able to take this pain, my husband was angry that I agreed to wait instead of going for section. On top of that, my mother and inlaws were asking me to walk and do squat. I was tired, I just sat on my bed and gave up just waiting for the doctor. As I saw my doctor, I said let go for c-section, I am done. She said let me check once, they checked again I was still the same. Finally, they took me to operation theater still I was getting contraction, I was at peace only when they give me anesthesia. A few minutes, later they just kept my baby on my chest and I forgot all the pain. I realized nothing matters how the baby came, vaginal or by Csection, just he was healthy and safe that's all matter the most.

Looking back, I felt so stupid that I went through such agony because, in the end, all that matters was my cute little baby. So, all you ladies out there just chill and relax, no matter how the baby came out all the matters is that you gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby. Do not listen to all the stupid advice and explanation on how natural delivery is good and Csection is bad. Just enjoy your pregnancy period, eat well and relax. #csectionstory #preganewscontest #bbcreatorsclub
