Nourishing Moong Dal

Soup is considered as one of the best healthy foods for everyone of us especially for toddlers. Moong Dal is highly valued in Ayurveda for its Tridoshic nature.  This Yummy Soup is rich in Protein and best for recovering from sickness, dehydration and even from a flu.

Ingredients :-

Moong Dal - 1/2 cup.,

Ghee - 2 tsp

Ginger - freshly grated

Veggies -  beans,  Carrot, pumpkin
Wash Dal properly , 5-6 times and soak it for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Heat a pressure cooker , add ½ tsp of  home made ghee in it. Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.

Add freshly grated ginger and sauté quickly .

Add Dal and fry for 2- 3 minutes. Keep on stiring on low flame.

Now, add veggies like beans, carrot, pumpkin, bottle gourd. (which is available with you)

Pour water and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles on a medium flame.

After 10 minutes, when the pressure goes off. Add pinch of salt , little black pepper powder and few drops of ghee.

Now its time to mash it properly.  Blend it in a Blender and then serve lukewarm to your toddler.
