Who doesn't want to wear that expensive silk saree or shawl or coat again and again but sometimes when you take it out after a long time, termites or silver fish attack has caused irreparable damage to the cloth.
Naphthalene balls and odonil are frequently used options to preserve these clothes but they sometimes leave a smell that doesn't go even after dry cleaning. Also small kids may consume the balls and that may prove hazardous.
So there is another way to do it.
1. Take fresh neem leaves about 25 -35 and place it on a newspaper and dry these in shade. Drying in shade is necessary to avoid loosing essential oils.
2. Take an old cloth and place dried neem leaves on it. Now place the dress or shawl you want to store and add more neem leaves. Then cover the dress with the cloth and store it in a cupboard or suitcase.
3. Dried neem leaves don't leave a mark on the cloth.
4. You can also pack dried neem leaves in pouches and keep in suitcases, Almira's and beds to ward off termites.
