The magic of dal parathas!
My childoo likes parathas of all kinds. Plain, stuffed with aloo, palak/methi/doodhi theplas, dal parathas - you name it and she is game!
It makes a healthy, filling meal/snack for toddlers of all ages, it's perfect for the school tiffin.
So all you need to do is simply take leftover dal - knead it into your dry flour/atta and make parathas! i usually get my cook to make the atta a day prior so i can just make them the next morning at 7am. I use light ghee and add a dollop of butter for my childoo, fold/roll nicely and wrap in foil so it stays warm and soft. Easy to carry, easy to eat! Happy childoo, very happy mom!
If your toddler doesn't go to school yet, I suggest you carry parathas when you go down to play. Carry extra. Kids eat with other kids!
When #thetenyearold was #thetwoyear old, everyday I would carry lots of parathas to the park. She would be running around with her two other friends there (my bestie's 2 kids). Then I would set up my "Paratha Station" and take 3 parathas out and they would bite into their paratha while passing by! That's how I would successfully feed three toddlers all together!
