Oats: superpower 💪 food and my stomachs best friend 👬
From expecting mother to new momma,infant to toddler to elderly,this is one power packed food which offers an avalanche of nutrients. This super food has ages of existence while has been popular offlate,owe it to the increasing number of ailments related to stomach. This comes as a saviour as it is packed with fibre,protein and many vital nutrients.;
It's my big time buddy when it comes to snacking or managing sugar levels,lemme share few recipes which helped me balance my fluctuating hormones during pregnancy,keeping constipation at bay and satisfying my taste buds ( yes! It can give that blissful taste to savour)..

While I do a lots with oats,here are three super quick snacks that fills the tummy and kills the cravings too..

Oats smoothie - What? Wait a minute,can it go in a smoothie? Yessss,it's a one man army when ur tummy butterflies are fluttering out of hunger ( happens a lot during pregnancy )

Ingredients-;
1/2 glass toned milk ( I prefer slim milk,you can use any that u like,but if you want to manage sugar,take slim or double toned milk)🍶
1/2 banana ( if not diabetic, else take half apple)🍌🍎
2 tsp oats ( I use Quaker oats,tastes enhances if you roast oats on a Tata for few seconds without oil and then use)🌿
honey as per taste ( I use stevia as I want to manage my sugar levels,feel free to use whatever you like,maple syrup,dates syrup etc.) 🍯
Method- simple,take all ingredients,put them in a blender,enjoi on the rocks..cheers 🍺;
PS: don't forget to peel and cut apple or banana into slices before u put it in blender 😜

Note: you can play around with this recipe,add chocolate sauce to enhance the taste. Put it in Popsicle moulds and freeze,enjoi ur healthy ice-cream🍦

Oats Cheela- This one is my favorite

Ingredients & pre prep - for 1 cheela
3 tsp oats (I use Quaker)- soak in 3 tsp water for 10 mins
1/4th onion - chopped in very small dices
Carrot,bottle guard - grated in small quantity or as you like,you can put veggies of your choice ( I prefer these two)/ capsicum - thinly diced ( qty as you like)
Oil- I use delmonte pomace 1 tsp
Spices- As per your taste ( I keep it simple with salt,pepper and green chillies as per taste,fresh coriander leaves if you like)

Method - mix all ingredients in a bowl,consistentency should be thick and spreadable,grease the tawa with oil and spread the batter with help of a ladle,it's sometimes difficult to bind if the consistency is not right,(tip: use few pinches of gram or wheat flour), after a few tries you will know the right consistency for the batter. Now once it starts to dry,flip the cheela with spatula, cook it till golden brown. Enjoy with coriander chutney or ketchup.

Last one is oats khichdi -;

Ingredients-
1/2 katori oats ( roasted on tawa without oil);
Veggies as many and as much as you want ( onion,tomato,carrot,beans,capsicum,peas) ; all chopped in small dices;
Spices - As per taste ( I use cumin,salt pepper,green chillies,turmeric,coriander and oregano)

Method-
Heat some oil in pan,put cumin (1/2 tsp), once they start crackling and become light brown add chopped onion till they are golden brown, then add all veggies,saute till soft,add all spices except oregano and coriander as per your taste and cover for a minute,now add oats and mix well.Now add water and see the consistency that you want ( I like little soft) ,mix well and cover for 5 minutes. Garnish with oregano and coriander..BINGE! 👍

Note: you can add variation by choosing around veggies and spices.

PS: I am not very apt when it comes down to penning recipes,do pour down your questions incase of doubts.🙊;
