"OHHH YOUR SON IS SO NAUGHTY"

This is something I have been hearing from the day my son started crawling. Yes, I do agree that he cannot sit silently for more than a minute. He wants to keep himself busy

He loves to run around all the time, but he is not harming anyone by doing all of this. He is doing things which he loves to do, and that does not make him NAUGHTY. The actual meaning of;NAUGHTY;is behaving;badly;and not being obedient. What children do cannot be termed as naughty because they are doing these things unknowingly. Are we parents responsible for this? No, not at all.

We parents are not responsible for this kind of behavior in our children. It is just a normal phase of their development. We need to understand the actual cause for why they are doing like that instead of blaming ourselves or punishing them unnecessarily.
Let's discuss a few points on why children behave like this -

THEY ARE STILL DEVELOPING -;We expect a lot from our kids forgetting the fact that their brains are just developing. Things we do easily are difficult for them to do. They don't have self-control and that's the reason they do things which we tell them not to do

GIVE THEM PROPER REST -;We need to keep their minds engaged and bodies active. Don't overschedule them with too many things to do. There should be a perfect balance between play, sleep, and activity.

PHYSICAL HEALTH -;We as adults get irritated when we are sick same goes with children. When they throw tantrums or they are irritable just check if they are sick or overtired because they don't know how to react during such time.

DEALING WITH EMOTIONS;-We know how to deal with different kind of emotions, how to control our anger or hide our sadness. Children are not aware of how to deal with these emotions, so they start crying or pulling things around. We need to support them during such time and give them an opportunity to express their emotions.

THEY NEED LOT OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY -;When we were kids, we too did not like to be seated in one place for a;long time, same goes with children. They just want to play, jump, run around, ride cycle so they can exercise away the excess energy within them.

THEY ARE INDEPENDENT -;We all want our kids to be independent but at the same time to do oppose some of their decisions which in turn leads to unnecessary tantrums. When they make a decision for themselves let's try to fulfil it instead of opposing.

THEY ARE CREATIVE -;Kids think differently from us. Their creativity is totally different. Instead of restricting them let's give them an opportunity to expose their creativity.

THEY WANT ATTENTION -;Children do want a lot of attention and when we don't pay attention to them, they start doing things just to get our attention. If we try to understand what they are trying to tell, they will definitely calm down.

EVERY CHILD IS DIFFERENT -;They have their own strength and weakness, so we need to respond accordingly and try to be more patient. A lot of patience is required in raising children.

CHILDREN LOVE BEING SILLY -;They do certain things to make us laugh. Instead of scolding them for such things we need to make it more fun by being silly with them.

REFLECTION OF OUR MOOD CAN BE SEEN ON KIDS -;Our mood has a great impact on our kids. This is caused due to emotional effect. If we are angry then kids also react the same way, but if we are calm then they will also be calm.
We all wish our child to behave well but remember your child is not;NAUGHTY;;he is just a;NORMAL ACTIVE CHILD.
So for now,;JUST RELAX AND ENJOY EVERY MOMENT.
