Once our babies start eating solids all that we moms think about is what we can give them and in what combination so that there daily nutrition is met.😊 One of my favourite recipes which I started giving Samarth since he was 10 months old until now is Sabudana Kheer.
Sabudana known as Sago is a starchy food and is rich in carbohydrates. As per the faulty belief Sabudana is actually very easy to digest and provides the much needed energy babies need after a full night of sleep and no food. I generally serve it as breakfast for the same reasons
Addition of milk and jaggery provides the very essential calcium and iron. In fact once samarth turned 1yr old I have started adding dry fruits powder to it, the benefits if which isnt hidden to any Mom😁😁.
Recipe:
➡️Soak 2-3 tbsp Sabudana in water overnight or toast 2hrs in advance.
➡️If you are breastfeeding and don't want to introduce cow's milk right away then boil 1 cup water else you can use 1 cup milk like I do.add the Sabudana Pearls to the water or milk once it starts to boil.
➡️After 2-3 mins when sabudana starts turning transparent add half tsp elaichi powder and 1-2 tsp jaggery powder..
➡️After 2mins when the mixture thickens turn off the gas and serve lukewarm ( you may add 3-4tbsp breastmilk at this stage just to increase the nutrient value of the kheer)

😊😊😊Simple and Nutrient Rich recipe your baby is bound to love this.😊😊😊😊
