One thing that I always observed while growing up was my Mom never used the phrase "Dont do this, else will tell it to your Dad".. She would pamper us to the core but still strict enough to keep us in the line.. Now that I am a Mom I know I have to implement this in my upbringing and there are multiple reasons for this-
.
1) Because Dads are not around most of the time, its important for you to balance love and anger..
.
2) Dads can become villain in kids eyes for once but not Moms, so its better to be the Bad guy..
.
3) Dads hardly get time to bond so it is important that whatever time they spend should be happy and productive..
.
4) In the long run, love, respect and fear towards Moms help more in keeping the kids in line..
.
5) Also its important to set example that both genders are strong enough to handle kids even if its about being super strict..
.
6) Moms are good at drawing lines to her anger as well, Fathers may end up going overboard..
.
.
This is just my personal take and observations from what I have seen while growing up.. would love to hear your views too ?
