One topic on which I wanted to write from quite sometime..

Today thought why not to pen down when I read everywhere that still no rains because of which there is water scarcity and so on...

Let me write down some things which I follow or rather we as a family follow to do our bit for environment....
1. I use the RO water to water my plants or for sweeping the floor or washing the terrace..

2. I drink coconut daily and don't take plastic straws from the vendor...Either I carry these steel straws in my bag or bring back the coconut home to drink at home..

3. We as a family try to spend time together in one room so that we don't have to switch on the fans, lights, AC of different rooms...These way we are saving our electricity bill no doubt but as a family we get to spend some time together..

4. While brushing I don't keep the taps open and same with all my family members..

5. While going shopping be it from malls, all regular vegetables shopping I carry my clothes bags..

6. I store my weekly vegetables in the bags I got stitched from leftover muslin and net clothes..

7. I use discarded towels, napkins for wiping floors, kitchen etc..

8. I carry my water in my steel bottles whenever I go out be it restaurant or movie or mall..So that don't have to buy disposable water bottles..

9. I carry my boys cutlery with me so that they don't use disposables in the eateries which give disposable cutlery..

10. Whenever my kids outgrow toys and books either I distribute it to needy or resale it so that it is reused, recycled and from the money I buy new toys and books...

11. I don't print any bank documents or any other documents unless and until absolutely necessary..This way I save paper which leads to saving of trees..

12. Unless and until necessary I don't shop and don't get tempted by offers or sales going around...

13. I avoid packaged food which leads to less use of plastics atleast from my end..

14. I have even started planting..

15. I switch off the lights, Mobile charger points when not in use....

16. I use cloth menstrual pads... hopefully will use cups in coming time...

17. I use my kids drawing to gift wrap the birthday gifts...

18. Instead of getting birthday invites printed I send it through WhatsApp or mail...and those who don't have either I call them...
