One year ago we were told that baby has to come out ASAP...!! We really thought we had two more weeks of sleep left.

We got admitted the same evening..for someone who was terrified of labor I got a random surge of confidence and strength. Touseef was with me the entire time and supported me throughout the labor process...be it walking around or doing exercises to speed up labor or listening to all my rants and yelling.

I had decided to take little to no medication and wanted to see how much pain I can endure, but we were still open-minded and knew we couldn’t plan everything about labor and delivery...and as we expected there was a short duration where Baby I was not reacting well to the induction and there was a chance we could go for a C-section and we were prepared...Our main goal was for her to be safe.

After 21 hours of labor and fighting my pain we decided to go with epidural. Honestly, it was the perfect decision and I was able to move around, walk and exercise for most of my labor and after epidural things moved fast...

After 26 hours of labor, pain, lots of blood and grossness, yelling, screaming and crying...and an hour of pushing, our little angel finally arrived..She was just perfect...it was the most surreal feeling to see the tiny human’s face that was growing inside of me...For dad it was love at first sight 😍
For me all the pain and discomfort I felt all this while just vanished in seconds and I was overwhelmed with joy. I instantly jumped onto the selfless motherhood wagon and everything from that moment was about her. We both shed a lot of happy tears seeing our little bundle...

We knew at that moment that life will never be the same again but we wouldn’t have it any other way."" ❤️
