Take white peas in a bowl add water, wash and soak for 6 to 8 hours. Transfer the soaked peas in to a pressure cooker, add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 glass water, 1 tsp oil (to avoid over flowing while cooking). Cook for 3 whistles(not too soft). Once the pressure released blend the half quantity in a mixer and keep other half aside. Keep a kadai add 1 & heat 1/2 tbsp oil. Add onion paste saute for 2 minutes on medium flame. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 more minutes. Add tomato pure, fry for 2 minutes until oil floats. Add boiled and blended peas paste and another half peas. Add salt to taste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chaat masala. Stir for 2 minutes on medium flame. Add little water and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the stove. Transfer to a serving bowl. Add chopped onions, coriander, chopped tomatoes, lemon juice, cornflakes/ sev/ samosa and serve hot. Done.
