question
Our baby was born underweight so Doctors suggested us not to breastfeed him until he's 2.5kg. We started breastfeeding him when he was 1 month old. But he wouldn't latch on. So we used to bottle feed him mother milk most of the time. And sometimes breastfeed him with nipple shield. But off late he's not latching on breast at all. Cries very loud when trying to breastfeed him. How can we get him back to breastfeed? Are there any lactation consultants who can help us? @

This requires a lot of practice and patience and different nipple sizes confuse the new born. I would suggest you continue using nipple shield as long as the child is comfortable and is able get milk.
