But as he has the habbit of putting everything in mouth I have to really careful when he is playing with colors.
So do skip the worries we made our own home made colors!!! And these are so simple!!! METHOD 1:
Take 1 cup of wheat floor.
Add 2 spoon of vegetable oil.
Add water till it becomes a paste.
Remove all the lumps.
Get the required consistency and add food colors.
Pour in the container for use.. METHOD 2
Take 1 cup of corn starch.
Take 4 spoons of sugar.
Add cold water till it becomes running paste.
Heat the pan and pour this mixture.
Boil till you get required consistency.
Cool it and add food colors in it.
Stir well and pour it in the container for use.
ADVANTAGES:
1. No toxic
2. Edible.
3. Stain free(most important).
4. Won't cause any skin issues. DISADVANTAGES:
1. If you compare it with conventional colors then it's not that perfect.
2. Best used for finger painting as paint brush won't give required results.
3. Paint brushes can be used but strokes won't be that perfect. TIP:
1. Adding sugar gives the required consistency and stickiness.
2. Instead of food coloring we have used food purees.
3. Palak for green, bitroot for red, turmeric for yellow and coffee for blackish.
