I had taken 2.5 hrs flight when my lo was 3 months. just feed it baby during take off and landing as it helps balance the ear pressure.. carry an extra set of clothing for u n baby, and I personally found babywearing really helpful.. my lo was snug n secure and didn't trouble at all during the whole check in process... kept me stress free too :)

only requirement will be to feed the baby while taking off and landing, so as to prevent baby's ear popping due to air pressure... and i read one of the moms mention in a similar question that paediatrician gave some ear drops, so you can also consult a doc.
